Subnautica 2 Blueprints
175 blueprints documented
Every craftable item in Subnautica 2 with required materials, crafting stations, and unlock methods — all extracted from the game files. Find what you need to build, then locate the resources on the interactive map.
Blueprints are organized by crafting station — the Fabricator handles most tools and equipment, the Habitat Builder constructs base modules, and specialized stations produce food and vehicle upgrades. Most blueprints are unlocked by scanning technology fragments found in wrecks and ruins, while some are available by default or discovered through the story. Each blueprint page shows the exact materials needed and their quantities, so you can plan resource gathering trips efficiently. This database covers every recipe in the current Early Access build.

Crafting Stations in Subnautica 2
Fabricator is the primary crafting station, available from the start in your lifepod. It produces tools, equipment, first aid kits, and most survival items. The Fabricator handles the widest range of recipes and is the first station players interact with.
Habitat Builder constructs base modules, rooms, corridors, and structural components. Building a base requires the Habitat Builder tool and sufficient resources — each module has its own material requirements listed on its blueprint page.
Processor handles food preparation and biological processing. Raw fish and harvested plants are converted into cooked meals, cured food for long-term storage, and processed organic materials used in other crafting recipes.
Modification Station upgrades existing tools and equipment. Rather than crafting new items, it enhances what you already have — extending battery life, improving tool efficiency, or adding new capabilities to existing gear.
Vehicle Crafter produces vehicles and vehicle modules. This station is essential for deep exploration, as vehicles provide the speed, storage, and depth ratings needed to reach the most remote biomes.
How to Unlock Blueprints
Scanning is the primary unlock method. Use the Scanner tool on technology fragments found in wrecks, ruins, and scattered across the ocean floor. Some blueprints require scanning multiple fragments before they are fully unlocked — the fragment count is listed on each blueprint's detail page.
Default blueprints are available from the start of the game. These include basic survival tools, the Habitat Builder, and essential crafting recipes that players need immediately.
Pickup blueprints are unlocked by collecting specific items. When you pick up certain resources or materials for the first time, related crafting recipes are automatically added to your blueprint library.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many blueprints are in Subnautica 2 Early Access?
The current Early Access build contains 175 documented blueprints across all crafting stations. More recipes are expected as the game adds new equipment, base modules, and vehicles in future updates.
Where do I find blueprint fragments?
Blueprint fragments are scattered throughout wrecks and ruins across the map. Use the interactive map to locate POI markers that indicate wreck and ruin locations where fragments can be found.
What blueprint should I craft first?
Priority crafting depends on your progression stage. Early game: focus on the Scanner, Repair Tool, and basic survival equipment (all default blueprints). Mid game: unlock vehicle blueprints and the Modification Station. Late game: vehicle modules and advanced base components.
