Titanium is the single most important raw material in Subnautica 2, used in 78 crafting recipes ranging from basic tools to advanced habitat modules. Found across three biomes — Coral Gardens, Observatory Ruins, and Sparse Plains — titanium deposits appear at depths from the surface down to 350m, making it accessible from the earliest stages of exploration through mid-game deep dives. Titanium Deposits and Titanium Nodes are the two harvest sources, with deposits yielding significantly more per interaction when processed with a Sonic Resonator.

Titanium Deposits processed with a Sonic Resonator yield 5 titanium each — nearly double the 3 from breaking Titanium Nodes by hand. Prioritize resonating deposits whenever possible to maximize your haul per dive.
With 78 recipes requiring titanium, you will never have too much. Dedicate a locker specifically to titanium storage early and top it off on every return trip from the Coral Gardens.
The Sparse Plains is the least dangerous of the three titanium biomes. If you need large quantities without risk, farm there instead of the deeper Observatory Ruins where aggressive leviathan-class fauna patrol.
Titanium appears from 0m to 350m depth, so you do not need a vehicle to start collecting. Surface-level nodes in the Coral Gardens are reachable with just a standard air tank.
Before building a new base module, check the recipe — almost every piece of habitat construction requires titanium. A full base expansion can consume 30 or more titanium, so stockpile before you start building.
